Em

Em first discovered ceramics while studying in Oregon and never looked back.

As an instructor at The Mudd House, she loves that teaching never feels like work. Every day brings the joy of sharing her passion for clay and watching others fall in love with the craft.

Em is drawn to experimenting with fluid shapes, playful textures, and pops of color, creating funky pieces that make you think, “what IS that? I need it.”

From accidentally putting an entire final project in the wrong kiln to landing a commission for a large-scale pottery company, Em has cherished every twist and turn of this wonderfully messy journey.
